Slovakia friendly, preview
Right now we are playing against high-flying Slovakia in a friendly away from home. They qualified for this year’s World Cup and are seemingly a better team than us at the moment. We are without our main striker John Carew, which means that Daniel Braaten (Toulouse) starts as a lone striker. They like to pass the ball around a lot, and we must be aware of the qualities of playmaker Marek Hamsik who is playing for Serie A side Napoli.
Here are the full teams
Slovakia (4-4-2): Jan Mucha – Peter Pekarik, Zdenko Strba, Jan Durica, Radoslav Zabavnik – Miroslav Karhan, Marek Sapara, Marek Hamsik, Erik Jendrisek – Robert Vittek, Vladimir Weiss.
Norway (4-5-1): Jon Knudsen – Tom Høgli, Brede Hangeland, Kjetil Wæhler, John Arne Riise – Morten Moldskred, Bjørn Helge Riise, Henning Hauger, Christian Grindheim, Morten Gamst Pedersen – Daniel Braaten.
Referee is Bas Nijhuis (Netherlands).
